Babies do not enter the world with an instruction manual. Each newborn, unique in appearance and potential, brings both the joys and challenges of parenthood. This class is designed to help you master the basics.
Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes knowledge and practice to be successful. Pregnant women who learn about how to breastfeed are more likely to be successful than those who do not. You will learn how breastmilk is made, how to know your baby is getting enough milk, helpful techniques for positioning and latching, ways to prevent or treat breastfeeding problems, as well as information about breastfeeding when you return to work.
The Baby Basics portion of the class will cover: selecting a care provider, hospital procedures, newborn appearance, bathing, dressing, illness, crying and sleeping.
Join us and discover some tips and tools for parenting your new bundle of joy!
We look forward to seeing you there!
