The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires hospitals to publish a machine-readable list of their charges, commonly known as the hospital’s chargemaster. Vitruvian Health makes every effort to provide complete and accurate information about the amount a patient may be obligated to pay for services. The detailed price list is accurate as of the date it is posted and may be updated subsequently. At a minimum, the price list is updated once per year.
The actual charges associated with a patient encounter will depend on a variety of factors, such as the number of days spent in the hospital, the length of time in surgery or recovery, specific equipment used, supplies and medications required, additional tests ordered by the physician, and/or any unusual special care, unexpected conditions, or complications. These estimates do not include any physician charges, which will be billed separately (e.g., office visits, surgeon, anesthesiologist, emergency room physician, radiologist, pathologist, consulting physicians, etc.).
If you have insurance, your benefits will ultimately determine the amount you owe, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums. If you do not have insurance, Vitruvian Health offers uninsured patient discounts and has financial assistance policies that can reduce or eliminate the amount owed.
