HMC wants to ensure your students have a great experience. This web page will provide you with details about the process for requesting and finalizing your student placements/requests. As well as requirements you must complete prior to student rotations.

Remember to have all of your students complete our online orientation before their rotation begins. Instructions are listed under the College Student link. After each student submits their orientation please review and ensure all necessary information was completed appropriately. On the Student Orientation Verification Forms, instructors will be required to complete information on both pages.

All forms must be completed and submitted for both students and instructors, with scanned copies of each individual’s picture ID a minimum of one month prior to the clinical start dates.

Computer Access

All instructors must complete Omnicell/MAK access form each semester.  New instructors must complete an Information Access Form prior to starting their first semester.  All instructors must complete an Information Access Form each January.  Once our IS department processes the computer request(s), you will receive an email notification with each instructor and students’ login information.

Unit Orientation

All of your students will need to complete a unit orientation. This needs to be completed the first day your students arrive to their assigned unit/department.

Skill Sets/Competencies

Every school and discipline has a different set of skills/competencies that their students are capable of performing. In efforts to ensure students can practice skill sets while at HMC, a skill set/competency list needs to be provided to the clinical manager of every unit your students will be on. The best time to do this will be the first day on the unit. Schools need to provide the clinical manager(s) with a list of students that will be on that particular unit and what skill set the students are competent to perform.

Dress Code/Parking, etc.
