Causes of Knee Pain
The most common cause of knee pain is arthritis. Sometimes called degenerative joint disease or degenerative arthritis, osteoarthritis affect any joint, but it occurs most often in knees, hips, lower back and neck, small joints of the fingers and the bases of the thumb and big toe. Osteoarthritis is most common in people over 50 years of age and in people with a family history of arthritis.
Why a Knee Replacement?
When your everyday activities are being limited due to stiffness and pain, and you have found little relief from more minimally invasive treatments, it might be time to consider a total knee replacement.
