Tom Boers, MT
Tom graduated in 1974 from the Amsterdam Academy for Physical Therapy, graduated in 1977 from the School for Manual Therapy in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He is a Fellow with the American Academy for Orthopedic Manual Therapist (AOOMPT) since 2001 and has dedicated his career to Orthopedic physical therapy with an emphasis on spine problems.
Lori Bartenfeld, MPT
Lori is a native of Dalton, Georgia. She attended Carson Newman College, in Jefferson City, TN where she obtained her degree in Exercise Science while playing four years of collegiate tennis. After graduating Lori worked as an Exercise Physiologist and Tennis Professional at Bradley Wellness Center until 1995. Lori attended Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta, and graduated from the School of Physical Therapy with a Master’s degree in 1998. Lori began her career as an outpatient physical therapist in South Carolina where she spent over 15 years in treating musculoskeletal issues with an intense focus on spine rehabilitation. Lori has worked for Hamilton Medical Center since 2015 with Tom Boers, PT, MT for manual therapy and spine rehab.
Jessica Metcalf, PT, DPT, CSCS
Jessica attended Armstrong State University, where she obtained her clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2016. Jessica is certified in dry needling and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has trained under the direction of Tom Boers, MT, since 2019.
Chris Smotherman, PT, DPT
Chris attended the University of Tennessee, where he obtained his B.S. in rehabilitation science and his clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2005. Chris has experience in home healthcare, outpatient orthopedics, and sports rehabilitation. He has trained under the direction of Tom Boers, MT, since 2019.
Brian Smith, Golf Instructor
Brian Smith has lived in the Atlanta area for the last 15 years and currently resides in Dallas, GA with his wife and 2 sons. He attended Lee University from 1996-2000 on a baseball scholarship where he studied business and religion. He has over 18 years of experience working with athletes and in golf instruction. He is well known for his golf equipment fitting expertise and has been awarded Top 100 Golf Club Fitter awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Brian holds several golf-specific biomechanics and movement analysis certifications and is a Certified Mental Game Coach. He joined the Hamilton Spine Health and Sport team in 2021.
Lanier Guest, Sports Performance Trainer and Assistant Golf Instructor
Lanier is from Rock Spring, GA. He is a former collegiate golfer with Georgia Northwestern Technical College. He completed his Bachelor and Master’s degrees at the University of North Georgia. He graduated in 2018 with his Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and in 2019 with his Master’s in Exercise Science. He is a certified Exercise physiologist and functional movement specialist. He joined the Hamilton Spine Health and Sport team in 2022.

Kyle Leeper, PT, DPT
Kyle earned his doctorate in physical therapy from Loma Linda University in California in 2016. He now lives in Cleveland, Tennessee, with his wife and three children. He worked as an outpatient physical therapist for five years before joining Hamilton Spine Health and Sport. He has trained under the direction of Tom Boers, MT, since 2022.
Joseph Snyder, PT, DPT
Joe attended the University of Georgia and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology before earning his clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Georgia State University in 2021. He is originally from Grayson, Georgia, and now lives in Dalton. He previously worked as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist before joining Hamilton Spine Health and Sport. He has trained under the direction of Tom Boers, MT, since 2022.
