A training program, given by Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, for individuals to become special education advocates in order to provide instrumental and affective support to families of children with disabilities.
FOR: Parents, teachers, healthcare providers, self-advocates and other interested individuals
TRAINING WILL COVER:
• Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
• State Law
• The Family Education and Privacy Act
• Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
REQUIREMENTS:
• Attend all 12 (3-hour sessions)
• Advocate for 4 families of children with disabilities after training completion
