DALTON, Ga. (June 19, 2026) – Vitruvian Health Care System is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Self as its new chief strategy officer (CSO), effective June 8, 2026, as the organization continues to expand its services, strengthen its regional presence, and invest in the future of healthcare across Northwest Georgia and Southeast Tennessee.
Self will report to Jeff Myers, president and CEO of Vitruvian Health.

Self brings more than 22 years of healthcare leadership experience to the system CSO role, with a proven track record in strategic planning, hospital operations, physician enterprise development, market expansion and organizational growth. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the AdventHealth hospitals in Gordon and Murray counties in Georgia. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of AdventHealth Manchester in Kentucky.
Throughout his career, Self has held numerous leadership positions, including vice president and CEO at AdventHealth Manchester, administrative director of Behavioral Health and Business Development at AdventHealth Hendersonville in North Carolina, and director of Strategy and Business Development at AdventHealth Kissimmee in Florida. His extensive experience leading service line expansion initiatives, physician team development, market growth strategies and capital investment projects aligns closely with Vitruvian Health’s vision for continued growth and innovation throughout the region.
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for Vitruvian Health as the system continues to expand access to care, recruit top clinical talent, enhance specialty services and pursue strategic opportunities that strengthen healthcare delivery for the communities it serves.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Trauma Foundation and has previously served on the boards of both the Kentucky Hospital Association and the Georgia Hospital Association.
