DALTON, Ga. (December 5, 2025) – Dalton resident Alice Bryant was facing the possibility of amputation of her feet earlier this year when blood flow became so restricted she had to go to the Emergency Department.
After an angioplasty, a procedure that opens narrowed or blocked blood vessels to restore circulation, Bryant began the long road of healing from open wounds and regaining her mobility.
Fifteen days of therapy and skilled nursing services at Ridgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation, part of Vitruvian Health, made a remarkable difference. Now, at age 88, Bryant is able to walk again and take a more active role in her daily care.
Her son, Barron Bryant, said the staff at Ridgewood kept him well informed about her treatment and daily progress, while Falon Cook, physical therapy assistant, Crystal Duke, certified occupational therapy assistant, and other members of the care team provided attentive and compassionate support.
For someone facing a similar situation, Bryant said, “Take things one day at a time, step by step, and have a positive outlook.”
