DALTON, Ga. (August 22, 2025) – Hamilton Medical Center, part of Vitruvian Health, recently named Ricardo Perez, DO, JD, FACOI, its new chief medical officer.
Perez has served as the regional chief of hospital medicine at Jefferson Health-East Region in Stratford, N.J., since July 2023.

His previous roles at Jefferson Health included vice president of Jefferson Medical Group and associate chief medical officer of Methodist Hospital. He also worked at Kennedy Health (which Jefferson Health later acquired) as the founding medical director of its hospitalist program and chief of medicine and chief clinical officer for its Accountable Care Organization.
Perez earned a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, N.J.; a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, N.J.; and a Bachelor of Science in biology at the College of New Jersey in Ewing, N.J.
Perez is responsible for clinical quality and performance improvement, medical staff services, accreditation, hospitalists and intensivists. He is fluent in Spanish.
