Rachael Green and Anna Bramblett, recent graduates of American Heritage Girls (AHG) Troop 0098 in Dalton, recently delivered blankets to pediatric patients at Hamilton Medical Center (HMC).
Green and Bramblett made the blankets as part of a community service project. Green initiated the project in the fall of 2016 and raised money through fundraisers to buy material for the blankets. The younger girls in the troop assisted in making the blankets.
Green and Bramblett were Patriots in the troop, the highest program level in AHG. Members of AHG are awarded Yellow Service Stars for every 20 hours of community service that they complete.
Troop 0098 meets on Mondays at First Christian Church off Dug Gap Road in Dalton.
AHG is faith-based and has been in existence for 22 years. According to the AHG website, AHG is the premier national character development organization for young women that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement.
