Volunteers were celebrated for their commitment and contributions at Hamilton Medical Center during National Volunteer Week, April 10 to 16.
“We love our volunteers and appreciate all they do for us,” said Gay Ann Talley, volunteer supervisor.
Volunteer activities during the week consisted of an ice cream social and the annual volunteer luncheon. Several Hamilton leaders served the volunteers to show their appreciation.
From Oct. 2014 to Sept. 2015, volunteers completed 19,563 errands, 4,565 dismissals, 25,460 information desk inquiries and 8,497 gift shop transactions. For 2014, 17,522 volunteer hours were logged.
“You can’t find dedication like this without amazing people, and our volunteers are amazing!” said Talley.
Talley said Hamilton leaders try to let volunteers know how important they are. “I am so proud to be a part of the volunteer program here at Hamilton and thank them for all they do for us,” she said.
