Georgia CORE, the Center for Oncology Research and Education has launched an integrated real-time web site for cancer patients and their families that provides current information on cancer treatments, doctors, centers and resources throughout the state. www.GeorgiaCancerInfo.org is the first and only comprehensive source of information on Georgia-based cancer care.

Asbestos.com provides more than 3,000 pages of content, featuring information on asbestos, mesothelioma, and other cancers that are caused by asbestos exposure (lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, etc.).
National Cancer Institute Information
PDQ (Physician Data Query) is NCI’s comprehensive cancer database. It contains summaries on a wide range of cancer topics PDQ Cancer Information Summaries; one you might find most useful is the ‘Alphabetical List of PDQ® Adult Cancer Treatment Summaries.’
The summaries are peer-reviewed, evidence-based summaries on topics including adult and pediatric cancer treatment, supportive and palliative care, screening, prevention, genetics, and complementary and alternative medicine. Most of the summaries are available in two different formats:
Health Professional versions provide detailed information written in technical language and are fully referenced with links to PubMed abstracts.
Patient versions are written in lay language and include links to the NCI Dictionary of Cancer Terms. Many patient summaries also include illustrations.
Both versions of the summaries are available to health professionals, patients, and the general public as a service of the NCI. Some of the summaries are also available in Spanish.
Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition Information
The Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition, Inc. is a collaboration of nine counties in Northwest Georgia with a vision is to build a national model of comprehensive rural cancer control. The organization’s mission is to develop exemplary cancer related education, communications, prevention, early detection, treatment and research programs.
