To educate, nurture, and train residents to become excellent family physicians who are well-equipped to work in any capacity available to the family physician: by maintaining high-quality faculty, staff, mentors, administration, and resources, exposing residents to diverse patient populations, fostering knowledge opportunities in population health management, and facilitating leadership opportunities within the community and healthcare organization.
Program Aims:
- To prepare residents in all milestones to independently practice clinical excellence in family medicine across the patient’s lifespan
- To promote an understanding of the social determinants of health and the process of advocacy for all patients
- To promote an understanding of the healthcare delivery system as a whole and the leadership skills to improve the system
- To prepare the foundation and desire to continually expand knowledge, learning and experience within the field of Family Medicine
