Hamilton Physician Group recently opened the Primary Care – Calhoun practice at 407 2nd Ave.

Offering family primary care services, providers include Jennifer Smith, FNP-C, and Nancy Giammarella, FNP-C.

A Calhoun resident, Smith has been a nurse practitioner for 10 years, earning her degree from Kennesaw State. She was a registered nurse for 16 years before becoming a nurse practitioner.

Giammarella was a registered nurse for 18 years before earning her nurse practitioner degree from Kennesaw State in 2004.

“Our goal is to help patients attain and maintain wellness, and our focus is on personalized care,” said Smith. “We’re very excited about the opportunity to return to Calhoun with an in-town location for residents to receive quality care, close to home.”

Both providers have practiced in Calhoun in the past.

“I’m excited to be back in Calhoun, offering primary care services to the community,” said Giammarella.

Current hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.  For more information, please call 706-529-3025.
