Hamilton Medical Center is accepting applications for volunteers looking to make a difference in the lives of others.
“Volunteers are the heart of Hamilton, positively impacting the total patient and guest experience,” said Gay Ann Talley, Guest and Volunteer Services supervisor. “Through a variety of work, volunteers support staff in providing exceptional service.”
Volunteers may choose from one or more areas in which to work: admissions, pet therapy, SICU surgical waiting assistant, emergency room, gift shop, patient escort, MICU desk assistant, Peeples Cancer Institute (radiology, registration desk, patient care representative), Hamilton Hospice, Bradley Wellness Center, Hamilton Diagnostics Center or as a patient care representative.
Benefits include covered parking, a complimentary meal with each three-hour shift up to $10, discounted membership to Bradley Wellness Center after three months of service and while service is current, annual flu vaccine, discounts on non-prescription items at HMC RX Care, free educational opportunities and recognition events such as National Volunteer Week and an annual recognition luncheon.
Volunteers are also recognized with a $10 gift card from the Gift Shop for recruiting a new volunteer who completes orientation and serves at least six months with a minimum of 72 hours.
Applicants must commit to serving for one year at least three hours per week, have current flu vaccinations and submit to an annual review.
