DALTON, Ga. –Dalton Cardiology and the Heart Center of Dalton have joined with Hamilton Medical Center to form a new practice — Hamilton Cardiology Associates, effective April 13.

The Heart Center of Dalton was the former practice of cardiologist Phillip “Bates” Bailey, MD. Physicians that were formerly with Dalton Cardiology include cardiologists John Poehlman, MD, FACC, FACP, FASNC; Gary Olson, MD, FACC, FACP; and Steven Rohn, MD, FACC.

The newly formed Hamilton Cardiology Associates is the first practice within Hamilton Physician Group, and is located at 1436 Broadrick Drive, Suite B in Dalton. New signage is already in place to reflect this change.

Graham Fox, executive director of Hamilton Physician Group, maintains the change will not affect physician patient relationships.

“Each cardiologist will still care for his own patients without interruption,” says Fox. “Patients will receive the same excellent clinical care. The only change is that the physician practices are now aligned with Hamilton Health — a partnership we believe will further enhance the overall patient experience.”
